Lotus of the Royal Palace

For some reason, lotus is always my favorite flower to photograph. I think it's hard to capture their beauty. There are so many composition one can think of when photographing lotus. Another thing is their color (second hardest I think after roses). The saturation has to be right to give the pinkish nature color of the flower.
I took this photograph in Thailand Royal Palace. It was an overcast day (perfect for this). I had to stand on one of the forbidden stairway to capture this lotus because it was a little too high. The royal guards warned me about trespassing. I could only shoot this hand-held, luckily my hands were not that shaky.
