Early Bird Gets The Worm

This photo was taken during Thanksgiving break. I and my friend woke up around 4am and tried to find our way to the lake. It was so dark and also our first time in the area. So we were a little bit scare of running late for the sunrise. We arrived at the lake pretty early before the sunrise. We went around and photographed those tufa which can be up to 3 or 4m tall from the ground. There was nothing special except there were a lot of clouds. But suddenly we turned around and looked at the mountain behind us. The whole sky was like it's on fire. The scene was so dramatic that we were stunned for a moment before grabbing our cameras and running for the shore. It happened so quick that we could only
take a few frame; then, the sun came up and the lightning became more harsh. We have to pack up our stuffs and left. There were several other photographers in the area also but they came out late; thus, they missed what we have witnessed. Lesson learn: EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM.
